One Seriously Injured in North Kansas City Accident
A pedestrian was seriously injured when struck by a car. On Monday, September 2, 2019, Ryan M. Henderson, 45, was struck by a moving vehicle while he stood beside his vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder of a roadway. As she drove northbound on I-49, just south of MO-52 East, Verginia R. Dayondon, of Lamar, Missouri, veered off the right side of the roadway. In doing so, Dayondon, 38, collided with Henderson’s vehicle. Henderson’s vehicle then traveled off the shoulder and into a ditch, striking him in the process. Henderson suffered serious injuries and was taken by Bates County EMS to Bates County Hospital.
When involved in an accident, especially if you were in the vehicle that was a fault, many people believe that they may not be able to recover for their losses. This may not be the case. The operator of a vehicle is required to have insurance on their vehicle. A passenger in a vehicle can often recover from the driver’s insurance policy.
