Teenager Dies in Dickinson County Crash
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, on November 22, 2019, Jacob Aguilera, age 19, died in a crash at U77 and 1100 Avenue in Dickinson County, Kansas. Jacob was the passenger in the 2008 Chevy Cobalt of Richard Aguilera, age 23. The accident occurred when Humberto Contreras Ponce, age 50, lost control of his 1999 Ford F250, left the roadway into the east ditch, and then over-corrected and entered into oncoming traffic. Mr. Contreras Ponce then hit Richard Aguilera’s automobile. Mr. Contreras Ponce was taken to the Geary County Hospital with a suspected serious injury.
