Woman dead in Pottawatomie County head-on collision
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, on November 1, 2019, Kathleen Cummings, of Belvue, Kansas, died in a head-on collision at US 24, approximately one mile northwest of Darling Road. Joseph McIntyre, age 19, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of US 24 and struck Ms. Cummings’s Ford Explorer. After the collision, Ms. Cumming’s vehicle rotated and came to rest in the grass ditch to the south of US 24 Highway. Mr. McIntyre suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
